Trump slammed for mocking Rob Reiner and wife after apparent homicide, blames ”TDS”

Mocking someone who has just died is never classy.

Doing it as the sitting President of the United States? That’s something else.

Now, Donald Trump’s shocking words about Rob Reiner are spreading like wildfire.

A vocal critic of Donald Trump

Academy Award-nominated director and actor Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home on Sunday afternoon. Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating an apparent homicide.

It has now been reported that 78-year-old Rob Reiner’s son, Nick, was taken into police custody yesterday and is currently being held on a $4 million bond, according to jail records.

While his passion for films was profound, Rob Reiner was also engaged in politics. Per the LA Times, he was seen as a “political force” and a “Democratic Party activist who went beyond the typical role of celebrities who host glitzy fundraisers.”

He was very much involved in, especially, the legalization of gay marriage and early childhood education. Reiner had a very different approach to politics than most celebrities.

“Here’s this unique human being who really did make the leap between entertainment and politics,” Ace Smith, a Democratic strategist to former Vice President Kamala Harris, said. “And he really spent the time to understand policy, really, in its true depth, and to make a huge impact in California.”

Reiner, 78 at the time of his death, was a vocal critic of Donald Trump. He also supported Biden in the 2020 election.

Back in 2017, during an appearance at the Dubai International Film Festival, Rob Reiner told Variety that he thought Donald Trump was “mentally unfit” to be president.

“Donald Trump is the single most unqualified human being to ever assume the presidency of the United States. He is mentally unfit. Not only does he not understand how government works, he has no interest in trying to find out how it works,” Reiner said when asked to compare Trump with President Lyndon B. Johnson.

“Look, he’s old!”

Last year, Reiner and his wife, Michele, produced a documentary titled God and Country about the rise of Christian nationalism in America. While doing press for the documentary, Reiner told The Guardian that Donald Trump, who often promotes Christian values, is the least Christian guy you could meet.

“I think he can probably spell the word ‘bible’,” Reiner said. “I don’t think he’s ever read it and I don’t think he has any idea what’s in it. But they excuse all that by saying God works in mysterious ways, and that he sent us this flawed vessel by which we can achieve the goals that we want to achieve.”

Speaking with The Guardian in 2024, when it at the time looked as if Biden would be challenging Trump in the 2024 Presidential Election, he backed the Democratic candidate despite many criticizing him for being too old.

In Reiner’s view, it was better to have an old guy in the Oval Office than a “criminal,” meaning Trump.

“Look, he’s old!” Reiner told the Guardian.”But you have one guy who stumbles around, whatever. And another guy who’s a criminal, basically lies every minute of his life, has been indicted 91 times!”

Trump’s answer

And apparently, Reiner’s criticism didn’t go unnoticed.

Today, President Donald Trump issued a fiery political statement about the deaths of Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, claiming their passing was linked to “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump,” the president added.

Some have reacted to the president’s tribute with outrage. One shocked X user wrote: “This is disgusting and shameful. A new low for Trump. Attacking Rob Reiner after his murder.”

Commentator Brian Krassenstein called the statement “the most disgusting Post Donald Trump has ever made.” Meanwhile, Democratic strategist Max Burns described the tribute as a “monstrosity” and added: “I don’t want to hear another sanctimonious word from the Republicans who accused Democrats of not showing enough sadness when Charlie Kirk died.”

Before his death, Rob Reiner shared his true feelings about Donald Trump

Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, were found dead in the LA home on Sunday. The police are investigating it as a potential homicide. Throughout his life, Reiner was politically active and endorsed several presidential candidates. Just some months before his tragic death, he shared his true feelings about President Donald Trump.

Academy Award-nominated director and actor Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles, home on Sunday afternoon. Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating an apparent homicide.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” a family spokesperson said in a statement. “We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”

Rob Reiner became a superstar as a director, with credits including The Princess Bride, This Is Spinal Tap, and When Harry Met Sally. In 1993, he was also nominated for an Academy Award for A Few Good Men in the Best Picture category.

While his passion for films was profound, Reiner was also engaged in politics. Per the LA Times, he was seen as a “political force” and a “Democratic Party activist who went beyond the typical role of celebrities who host glitzy fundraisers.”

He was very much involved in, especially, the legalization of gay marriage and early childhood education. Reiner co-founded the American Foundation for Equal Rights, an organization that successfully led the fight to overturn Proposition 8, the 2008 ballot measure that banned same-sex marriage.

Rob Reiner shared his true feelings about Donald Trump
Speaking with the LA Times, Ace Smith, a Democratic strategist to former Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Gavin Newsom, and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, said Reiner had a very different approach to politics than most celebrities.

“Here’s this unique human being who really did make the leap between entertainment and politics,” Smith, who had known Reiner for years, said. “And he really spent the time to understand policy, really, in its true depth, and to make a huge impact in California.”

Reiner’s Democratic views don’t align with President Donald Trump’s approach to running the country, to say the least. The late actor, who was 78 at the time of his death, had spoken out several times about the former real estate mogul, who now sits in the Oval Office.

Johnson.

Called the president a “criminal”
Last year, Reiner and his wife, Michele, produced a documentary titled God and Country about the rise of Christian nationalism in America. While doing press for the documentary, he told The Guardian that Donald Trump, who often promotes Christian values, is the least Christian guy you could meet.

Rob Reiner supported Biden in the 2020 election. Speaking with The Guardian in early 2024, when it at the time looked as if Biden would be challenging Trump in the 2024 Presidential Election, he backed the Democratic candidate despite many criticizing him for being too old.

Rest in peace, Rob and Michele. Please share this article and give us your thoughts on it in the comment section on Facebook.

Why Aldi’s Shopping Carts Are Different From Everyone Else’s

Aldi’s quarter-for-a-cart system may seem strange at first, but it’s actually a smart way to keep stores clean, efficient, and affordable.

The small deposit encourages shoppers to return carts instead of leaving them scattered across the parking lot. That means fewer lost or damaged carts and no need for employees to spend time collecting them.

By cutting down on cart replacement and labor costs, Aldi saves money — and those savings help keep prices lower for customers. It’s one of the reasons Aldi is able to offer some of the best grocery deals around.

The system also promotes responsibility and sustainability, similar to Aldi’s decision to charge for shopping bags. Shoppers think twice, return what they use, and everyone benefits.

Best of all, you get your quarter back every time. Aldi doesn’t make a profit from the system — it simply creates a smoother, cleaner, and more efficient shopping experience for everyone.
What looks like a quirky rule is actually part of what makes Aldi stand out.

Rob Reiner’s daughter’s chilling comment to police after actor and wife found dead at home

More horrifying details are emerging in light of the news that Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home at the weekend.

Reports detail how the couple were found on Sunday, December 14 inside their abode in Brentwood, California. According to The Mirror, authorities described the scene as a “horror double murder” involving what appeared to be stab wounds. The Hollywood director and his wife were said to have been discovered dead in their home by their daughter, Romy.

New information published by TMZ now claims that the couple were killed by a family member during a heated argument inside their home.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear what led to the argument in question, though TMZ say Romy told police that a family member had killed them. The couple’s son, Nick, is currently being questioned in connection with the murders.

Citing sources, TMZ said that Romy made a chilling comment to police about the aforementioned family member when they arrived, telling them they “should be a suspect” because they’re “dangerous.”

Meanwhile, one source familiar with the case, who the LA Times say was not authorized to speak publicly, said there were no signs of forced entry at the home. The source also indicated that the victims had injuries consistent with stab wounds.

At a news conference late Sunday, LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton shared limited details, saying the investigation was still in its early stages. Detectives were in the process of obtaining a search warrant before conducting a “thorough” examination of the property.

“At this time, the Los Angeles Police Department is not seeking anyone as a suspect or as a person of interest … and we will not be doing that until we conduct our investigation and move forward,” Hamilton said.

He added that several family members would be interviewed but emphasized that “no one has been detained; no one is being questioned as a suspect.”

“We’re going to try to speak to every family member that we can to get to the facts of this investigation,” he said.

Rob, 78, and Michele, 68, were married since 1989 and lived in an upscale Brentwood neighborhood known for its gated properties and tall hedges. According to The New York Post, their home was decorated for the holidays on Sunday.

Rob — the son of iconic comedian Carl Reiner — began his career in show business as a comedy writer in the 1960s. He worked as Steve Martin’s writing partner on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour in 1968 and ’69.

Reiner starred as Michael Stivic (also known as ‘Meathead’) in All in the Family during the 1970s, winning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

He would go on to direct This is Spinal TapStand By MeThe Princess Bride, and the aforementioned When Harry Met Sally.

Michele and Rob shared kids Jake, Nick and Romy together. Rob also had a daughter, Tracy, from his first marriage.

Tracy was the first of Rob’s children to break their silence following the heartbreaking incident, telling NBC News’ entertainment correspondent Chloe Melas that she is ‘in shock’.

“I came from the greatest family ever,” Tracy said. I don’t know what to say. I’m in shock.”

Rob Reiner’s eldest daughter breaks silence after actor and wife found dead in home

Rob Reiner’s eldest daughter has spoken out regarding the death of her father.

Reiner, the beloved and highly-successful Hollywood filmmaker, was reportedly found dead alongside his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, at the couple’s home in Brentwood, California yesterday, December 14.

According to TMZ, the couple allegedly both suffered lacerations consistent with a knife. LAPD’s Robbery Homicide Division is currently investigating.

A spokesperson for the Reiner family confirmed their deaths on yesterday evening.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”

LAPD chief detective Alan Hamilton revealed during a press conference that the investigation was ongoing.

“At this time, the LAPD is not seeking anyone as a suspect or as a person of interest … and we will not be doing that until we conduct our investigation and we move forward,” Hamilton said.

Rob and Michele shared three kids –– Jake, Nick and Romy together. Rob also had a daughter, Tracy, from his first marriage to Penny Marshall.

Reiner and Singer Reiner, 68, had been married since 1989, having met on the set of the iconic romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally.

Rest in peace, Rob and Michele! This is a developing story. More to come…

Exclusive Private Lakefront Sanctuary Surrounded by Old-Growth Wilderness

There are properties you visit, and then there are places that change you. This extraordinary offering is firmly in the latter category—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own the only private frontage on a pristine wilderness lake, entirely surrounded by protected old-growth forest. Hidden at the edge of the 73,000-acre Michigamme Highlands, this rare sanctuary is a place where modern noise fades away and life returns to its most meaningful rhythms.

From the moment you turn off the highway and ease onto the winding two-track road, time begins to slow. Each mile deeper into the forest strips away distraction, replacing it with anticipation, calm, and the unmistakable sense that you are entering somewhere truly special.
🌊 A Wilderness Lake All Your Own

At the heart of this remarkable property lies Loon Lake, the Nature Conservancy’s revered “jewel.” Stretching approximately 1¼ miles in length, this high-altitude, spring-fed wilderness lake is as pure and untouched as any remaining in the region. Its crystal-clear waters reflect the surrounding forest, sky, and seasons with breathtaking clarity.

What makes this lake truly extraordinary is its absolute exclusivity. This is the only private frontage on the lake—every other shoreline is permanently protected by the Nature Conservancy. There are no neighboring cabins, no development pressure, and no future threats. Just water, forest, wildlife, and silence.

For a select few, the lake is even accessible by air, a privilege reserved for those who understand how rare and protected this place truly is.
🌲 Surrounded by Ancient Old-Growth Forest

Encircling the property is an expansive stretch of old-growth forest, preserved precisely because of its remoteness. Lumbermen never reached this land, allowing Bird’s Eye Maple and other hardwoods to grow to massive, awe-inspiring proportions—similar to those found only in the most remote areas of the Huron Mountains.

The forest floor is alive with moss, ferns, and centuries-old trees, while towering canopies filter light into soft, ever-changing patterns. This is not second-growth timber—it is ancient woodland, preserved by chance and protected by intention.
🛤️ A Journey Through Untouched Wilderness

Access to the property is an experience in itself. Your exclusive gated entry, shared only with land management personnel, winds through five sections of pristine Precambrian upland forest. Along the way, you pass hidden lakes, bogs, and meandering streams—landscapes that feel untouched since the last ice age.

This controlled access ensures:

Privacy without compromise

Minimal human impact

Preserved wildlife habitat

A sense of arrival unlike anything else

Few properties offer a journey as memorable as the destination.
🏕️ Hand-Hewn Log Cabins in a Sea of Public Land

Tucked quietly into this wilderness setting are hand-hewn log cabins, blending seamlessly with their surroundings. These structures reflect craftsmanship rooted in tradition—solid, honest, and designed to endure.

Surrounded by more public land than one could explore in a lifetime, the cabins serve as a warm and welcoming base for adventure, reflection, and gathering. Whether used seasonally or cherished as a generational retreat, they feel like they belong exactly where they are.
🎣 A Sportsman’s Dream Come True

This property offers an unparalleled range of outdoor pursuits, each defined by solitude and authenticity.

Imagine:

The first grouse flush of September, heart racing as wings thunder through the timber

December hunts with your dog, steadier and wiser with each passing season

Debating where to spend deer opener—or whether next fall brings a coveted bear tag

Choosing between an afternoon drifting a trout stream or paddling a canoe in search of walleye

The land delivers endless possibilities, all within walking or paddling distance.
💧 Water Everywhere You Look

Beyond Loon Lake, the property is defined by water in motion. The land sits mostly on high ground, overlooking an ancient, deep, spring-fed beaver pond—one of two tributaries flowing toward the West Branch of the Sturgeon River, located just a quarter mile from the cabin.

A short walk down the two-track leads to a larger tributary, where Brook trout spawn in the fall, a rare and beautiful sight that speaks to the purity of these waters.

Water here is not ornamental—it is the lifeblood of the land.
🦌 Wildlife Without Interruption

Because of limited access and thoughtful trail placement, wildlife thrives here. The Conservancy has allowed only a few designated ATV and snowmobile trails, carefully routed to minimize impact on both wildlife and sportsmen.

This means:

Exceptional game populations

Undisturbed migration corridors

Quiet, ethical hunting and recreation

A sense of wilderness rarely found today

The surrounding public lands extend for miles to the north, creating an uninterrupted habitat that benefits every species that calls this area home.
🌌 Silence, Stars & Perspective

When evening falls, the land reveals another layer of magic. With no artificial light, the night sky opens fully—stars blaze, the Milky Way stretches overhead, and the quiet becomes almost tangible.

Here, conversations deepen, meals linger longer, and mornings begin with mist rising off the water rather than alarms and traffic.

This is a place where inner peace is not sought—it simply arrives.
📍 Truly Rare, Truly Protected

Properties like this are not replicated. They exist because of unique geography, conservation foresight, and decades of protection. To own private frontage completely surrounded by preserved wilderness is something few will ever experience.

This land is not just an asset—it is a responsibility, a privilege, and a legacy.
🏁 Final Thoughts

This is not merely a property—it is a sanctuary. A place where wilderness remains wild, where access is earned, and where life is lived deliberately.

Whether you are a conservation-minded buyer, a passionate sportsman, or someone seeking a refuge from the modern world, this private lakefront wilderness retreat stands alone.

✨ This is the kind of place you dream about—and once you see it, you’ll understand why opportunities like this almost never come again.

160 Acres of Limitless Possibility on the Edge of the Great Salt Lake Desert

Opportunities to own large, versatile tracts of land in the American West are becoming increasingly rare, especially parcels that combine size, accessibility, infrastructure proximity, and breathtaking natural surroundings. This exceptional 160-acre property, located on the western edge of the Great Salt Lake Desert in Box Elder County, Utah, offers exactly that: space, freedom, and potential in one of the most striking and unspoiled landscapes in the region.

Set within a wide-open valley framed by the Pilot Mountain Range to the west and the Little Pigeon Mountains to the east, this land delivers a true sense of scale and solitude while remaining remarkably accessible. The property lies near Pilot Mountain Road, a key route that connects seamlessly to major transportation corridors. From the south, access is available via the I-80 corridor, providing an efficient route to larger cities and regional hubs. From the north, the property can be reached through the UT-30 / NV-233 corridor, making it convenient for travel from both Utah and neighboring Nevada. Whether you envision frequent visits or long-term development, the ease of access sets this property apart from many remote desert holdings.

One of the most valuable features of this land is its proximity to power. Power poles run adjacent to the property and connect to an existing residence just a few miles to the east. This significantly reduces the complexity and cost often associated with developing rural acreage. For buyers considering residential use, agricultural operations, or recreational improvements, having power nearby is a major advantage and opens the door to a wide range of possibilities.

The property is bordered on its eastern side by an expansive 640 acres of public land maintained by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). This adjacency to public land enhances both privacy and recreational opportunities, effectively extending your usable surroundings without additional cost. With no immediate threat of dense development on that side, you can enjoy unobstructed views, quiet surroundings, and the freedom to explore vast open spaces right next to your own land.

Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the abundant wildlife that inhabits the area. Elk, mule deer, antelope, and even bighorn sheep are known to roam the surrounding landscape. This makes the property ideal for wildlife observation, photography, and simply enjoying the rhythms of nature. The wide-open terrain and natural corridors used by these animals provide a rare chance to experience authentic Western wildlife in its natural habitat.

Zoned as mixed use, the land allows for agricultural, recreational, and residential purposes, giving buyers exceptional flexibility. For those interested in agriculture, the property could serve as a small ranch for horses or cattle, or as a hobby farm where self-sufficiency and sustainable living take center stage. The expansive acreage allows for grazing, corrals, barns, and supporting infrastructure while still preserving open land and scenic views.

Recreational users will find no shortage of options. The vast desert terrain and nearby mountain ranges create an ideal setting for ATV and off-road riding, hiking, and exploring. The open skies and minimal light pollution make this an outstanding location for stargazing, astrophotography, and nighttime observation. Few places offer such clear, uninterrupted views of the night sky, where the Milky Way stretches brightly overhead and meteor showers become unforgettable events.

Camping enthusiasts and RV owners will see immediate value in this property as a private retreat. Whether you want a weekend escape, a seasonal base camp, or a destination for family and friends, the land provides ample space to create multiple camping areas without sacrificing privacy. The quiet, remote feel of the Great Salt Lake Desert region allows you to truly disconnect from daily stress while still knowing that major roadways and services are within reasonable reach.

For those focused on preparedness or long-term security, this property also serves as an excellent “bugout” or contingency location. Its size, mixed-use zoning, nearby power, and adjacency to public land make it well-suited for individuals seeking a place to retreat, establish independence, and maintain control over their environment. The ability to develop residential structures, support agricultural activity, and access surrounding land for recreation or exploration adds to its strategic appeal.

The surrounding landscape is defined by wide horizons, subtle desert colors, and dramatic mountain backdrops. Sunrises and sunsets here are particularly striking, with shifting light painting the mountains and desert floor in warm tones of gold, red, and purple. The sense of openness is profound, offering mental clarity and inspiration that is difficult to find in more developed areas.

Despite its rugged beauty and remote feel, the property’s location in Box Elder County places it within a region known for its balance of rural living and access to modern amenities. Nearby towns and communities provide essential services, supplies, and local culture, while larger urban centers are reachable via established highways. This balance makes the land suitable not only for recreation but also for those considering longer-term residence or development.

From an investment perspective, large-acreage parcels with mixed-use zoning and infrastructure access continue to attract interest as demand for land grows. The combination of 160 contiguous acres, road access, power adjacency, and neighboring public land creates a strong foundation for future value. Whether held as a long-term investment, developed gradually, or enjoyed immediately for recreation and personal use, this property offers enduring appeal.

In summary, this 160-acre parcel on the western edge of the Great Salt Lake Desert is more than just land—it is an opportunity to shape a lifestyle. With excellent access via Pilot Mountain Road, proximity to major corridors, nearby power, abundant wildlife, and flexible zoning, it supports a wide range of visions. From ranching and farming to recreation, stargazing, camping, and secure retreat living, the possibilities are limited only by imagination.

If you are seeking space, freedom, and a true connection to the land in one of Utah’s most striking desert regions, this property deserves serious consideration. It represents a rare chance to own a substantial piece of the American West—open, accessible, and ready for your plans.
